Ex-Minister of Finance, Olu Falae, was kidnapped on Monday, September 21 Sahara Reporters reveal that Falae was abducted in the early hours of Monday, September 21. The details of the abduction are sketchy, but more details are likely to unfold within an hour. Reports reveal that the Afenifere leader was last seen at a public function during the remembrance of ‎the late Gani Fawehinme held at Adegbemile cultural centre in Akure, the Ondo state capital.

The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), has ordered the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase, to arrest and bring the Senate President, Bukola Saraki before the Tribunal on Tuesday, by 10am. Preparations for the 2016 gubernatorial elections in Edo State has taken another dimension with some members of the Peoples Democratic Party decamping to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Former Governorship candidate, Lucky Imasuen, State Deputy Chairman, Christopher Adesotu, a former member of House of Representatives and Deputy Governorship candidate in the 2012 governorship election, Hon John Abolagba, among other leaders have led over 5,000 of their supporters to decamp into the All Progressives Congress APC. Governor Adams Oshiomhole received the decampees by presenting them with the broom which is the symbol of the APC.

Samaria Hospital, a private medical facility in Lagos, has detained a woman for more than one month over the woman’s failure to pay her bills. The hospital, which is based in the Ikotun Egbe area of Lagos, has detained Jessica Ugwuoke since August 12, 2015, after the woman and her relatives said they could not afford to pay the bill for her Caesarean section (CS). Mrs. Ugwuoke was transferred from a maternity clinic to Samaria Hospital, which is located on Kudaki Road near Hostel bus stop in Egbe, Lagos State. The patient’s husband, Tochukwu Ugwuoke, was asked to pay N30,000 for blood transfusion into his wife, reported to have lost a lot of blood during labor. The couple’s birth died. After the loss of her child, Mrs. Ugwuoke has been detained by the hospital for failure to pay the hospital’s bills, which came to N285,000. The detained patient told a correspondent of SaharaReporters that the couple was not informed of the cost of the Caesarean section until after the surgery....
