Some chiefs and residents of Ilashe Ijesa in Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State on Thursday narrated how the monach of the town, Oba Adesina Anibijuwon, was killed by suspected members of Odua People’s Congress, who allegedly strangled him and left his corpse inside his residence which they set ablaze. Those who recovered his corpse from the building said the charred remains of Anibijuwon were taken to the mortuary at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital in Osogbo by Osun Ambulance Service at around 10.30pm on Wednesday. The ambulance that conveyed the remains of the monarch was said to have been escorted to the mortuary by armed policemen and some residents. The residents feared that those who killed him might want to seize his corpse. Some residents who also spoke with our correspondent said the officials of the state fire service, who came to put out the inferno, ran out of water. The police at Idimu, Lagos, have arrested the wife of a pastor, Mrs. Angela Uzoma, for pouring hot water on her sister.  The 28-year old housewife who is also the women’s leader in her husband’s ministry at Shasha allegedly poured hot water on Chidinma Chukwu, causing her serious injury because the 14-year old Chidinma sold only few pawpaws she was to hawk on the fateful day. Unfortunately, Chidinma did not sell everything and Angela became angry, accusing her of being too playful. But the matter came into the open when a samaritan heard of it and reported to the police at Idimu. The incident happened at their residence at Ifelodun Street Orisunmbare, Shasha, Lagos State. According to PMNews, Angela had warned Chidinma to ensure that she did not come back home without selling all the pawpaws packed in her tray for sale that day. Unknown gunmen yesterday abducted Chief Nelson Tempurah, 78, the father of the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Tourism Development, Nelson Belief. Chief Tempurahwas was kidnapped in his family home in Minibeleu community, near Akassa in Brass Local Government Area. The community leader was abducted just before 3am by seven gunmen who stormed his residence, climbing in through the roof. A community source said in Yenagoa that the gunmen shot sporadically into the air to scare people in the neighborhood away before going for their target. Nelson Belief confirmed the abduction of his father to newsmen in Yenagoa.  He said the kidnappers were yet to contact the family, adding, “It is quite sad that an aged and peaceful man will be abducted." A source noted that after abducting the old man, the gunmen collected the mobile phones of those in the building including those of the help.
